This purge fluid can be put into an empty set of wide format refillable cartridges and then passed through the printer using power cleanings or the initial fill procedure. In so doing, you will be able to void your printer of old ink. This can be helpful when switching ink types or when putting the printer into storage.
This fluid is specifically designed for use in EPSON SureColor and Stylus Pro printers. It is designed to have the same viscosity and density as the ink for optimal flow through the printer.
When switching from OEM Epson ink to InkOwl's Wide Format Compatible inks or vice-versa, purging is not required, as our ink is wholly compatible with Epson's. However, when switching to and from a specialty ink, like a screenprinting ink or a sublimation ink, purging is highly recommended. Purging is also recommended when switching from one third-party ink supplier to another.
